Manchester United will be in the transfer market next summer to sign midfielders. The Red Devils will be looking to sign at least two midfielders.
First of all, they will be looking to sign a replacement for Casemiro. Also, they need to look for a replacement for Manuel Ugarte if he leaves next summer.
Furthermore, there are questions over the future of their captain, Bruno Fernandes. The Portuguese international was close to leaving the club last summer.
However, their former manager, Ruben Amorim, convinced Fernandes to stay at the club. So, his future will be a part of speculations next summer.
That is why Manchester United are eyeing moves for multiple midfielders. They already have the likes of Carlos Baleba, Elliot Anderson, and Adam Wharton on top of their list.
And, the Red Devils are ready to pay a premium price to sign these players. However, they have also added another name to their list of midfield targets.
According to Football Insider, Manchester United have now added Amadou Onana of Aston Vill on their midfield target list.
The Belgian midfielder signed for Villa in 2024 from Everton on a five-year deal. The Red Devils also tried to sign him when he joined Aston Villa.
So, with United desperate to sign a holding midfielder, it is obvious that his name will emerge as a prime target. However, Manchester United’s priority will be one of Anderson, Baleba and Wharton.
