British entertainer and entrepreneur KSI has wasted no time experiencing the highs of football ownership.
Just days after officially becoming part of a club’s ownership group, the YouTube star watched on as his new side won at home.
The move into football ownership marked another step in KSI’s growing business portfolio, following previous successes across music and boxing.
As previously reported, KSI recently became a shareholder in Dagenham & Redbridge F.C., a club competing in the sixth tier of English football.
The influencer joined the ownership structure alongside former England striker Andy Carroll, who also plays for the club.
Now, attention has quickly turned to events on the pitch.
In his first matchday experience as an owner, the Daggers took on league leaders Dorking Wanderers, with KSI watching from the stands alongside Carroll.
Results have previously varied for the club, with notable victories against mid-table rivals shadowed by defeats elsewhere.
The home side rose to the occasion, winning 1–0 against them, as fans packed into Victoria Road to witness the occasion.
Supporters inside the stadium were quick to spot the new co-owner in attendance, with the YouTuber live streaming the occassion.
The result marked a dream start to life in the boardroom for KSI, whose ambitious vision for the club has already drawn comparisons with other celebrity-backed football projects.
His long-term goal is clear, as he looks to help guide Dagenham & Redbridge back up the English football pyramid.
And if the early scenes at Victoria Road are anything to go by, the new era at the club may already be off to a winning start.
