Arsenal dropped points against Sunderland. It was unexpected, as the Gunners were having a great run.
Before they faced Sunderland, they had only conceded three goals. However, they conceded two goals against the Black Cats, as the game ended 2-2.
Daniel Ballard opened the scoring in the 36th minute of the game for Sunderland. However, Bukayo Saka equalized for the Gunners, and Leandro Trossard got them in front.
But Brian Brobbey scored the equalizer for the Black Cats in spectacular fashion to secure a point at Stadium of Light.
Sunderland are in fourth place this season with 19 points and 7 points behind Arsenal. However, this draw has serious implications for the Premier League table.
The gap between Manchester City and Arsenal is now only four points. Pep Guardiola’s men took down Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium in remarkable fashion.
Goals from Erling Haaland, Nico Gonzalez, and Jeremy Doku sealed the deal for the Citizens. Now, this will create pressure on the Gunners.
And this pressure is turning into agitation among the Arsenal fanbase. AFTV represents Arsenal fans on social media platforms.
One of their presenters, Ty, was involved in an incident after the Sunderland game outside the Stadium of Light.
The presenter was having an altercation after the draw with the Sunderland fans. As a result, a football steward throttled him, and it was caught on camera.
It is still unclear whether Arsenal or Sunderland employed that steward; clubs often bring their own stewards for away games.
