Arsenal’s loss to Manchester City has surely diminished their confidence ahead of the Premier League run-in.
The title race, which once seemed done and dusted, has become neck-and-neck thanks to Arsenal’s poor form during the most crucial phase of the season.
The Gunners are already in the Champions League semi-final, and they will face Atletico Madrid. A win in that tie will ensure the Gunners play the final for the first time since 2026.
They did lose the semi-final last season to the eventual champions, PSG. But their domestic form has been a concern for their fans.
Winning the game against Newcastle United has now become a must for Mikel Arteta. But Arsenal fans know how Manchester City usually performs towards the end of the season under Pep Guardiola.
So, they have devised an innovative plan to rescue their chance of winning the league. According to footage circulated on social media, Arsenal fans travelled to Wembley.
They did so to request Pep Guardiola to let Mikel Arteta win the Premier League. In the video, the Arsenal fan pleads to Guardiola:
“Pep! Let [Mikel] Arteta win the league. Let Arteta win the league. You’ve won enough. Let Arteta win something.”
Guardiola was in no mood to hear the Arsenal fan out as he stormed into the stadium. Seeing that, the fan screamed:
“I hate you. You’ve ruined my life.”
Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City will take on Southampton in the FA Cup semi-final, and Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal will face Newcastle in a crucial Premier League clash as the Gunners look to reclaim their top spot in the league.
