Crystal Palace make shock Oliver Glasner decision amid Manchester United links

Glasner already revealed that he will leave Crystal Palace after his contract ends with the club in the summer.

Oliver Glasner

Oliver Glasner has emerged as a potential candidate to become the next permanent manager of Manchester United.

The Red Devils parted ways with Ruben Amorim after his explosive interview following the game against Leeds United at Elland Road.

Since then, United have appointed Michael Carrick as the interim manager and are looking to appoint a permanent manager in the summer.

Now, Manchester United are looking at a number of managers before making up their mind. And, Oliver Glasner is surely one of those managers.

The Austrian has enjoyed considerable success with Crystal Palace. Under him, Palace won the FA Cup and the Community Shield.

So, he has already proven that he could manage a Premier League club. That is the priority for United. They are looking at managers who have a proven track record in the Premier League.

Now, Glasner’s relationship with Palace has broken in recent months. After Crystal Palace sold Eberechi Eze last summer and Marc Guehi this January, Glasner is livid with the club.

He has openly criticised the club for their lack of ambition and selling their best players. It is quite similar to what Ruben Amorim did at Manchester United.

And, the Red Devils sacked him on the following day. Glasner already revealed that he will leave Crystal Palace after his contract ends with the club in the summer.

Now, according to Football Insider, Crystal Palace held a board meeting in which they decided to stick with Oliver Glansner until the end of the season.

This will come as a shock to many because of the way Glanser has spoken in recent weeks. He has already been critical of the club.

Now, with the Austrian set to leave Palace in the summer, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur will surely be the two clubs monitoring him.
