Douglas Luiz has now gone public with a new relationship following the end of his long-term romance with Switzerland international Alisha Lehmann.
The Brazilian midfielder previously dated Lehmann for four years after the pair met during their time at Aston Villa. Their relationship ended last year.
Now, Luiz has confirmed a new romance with 19-year-old Brazilian model and influencer Duda Gaspar, who currently lives in London.
Gaspar shared the news on her Instagram story. The model posted a selfie showing the pair together while embracing in a bar.
Alongside the image, she wrote: “You are my greatest certainty”, followed by a heart emoji. Luiz also shared the same photograph and added his own message: “Making you happy will be my priority.”
The relationship immediately caught attention for another reason. Duda Gaspar is the daughter of former Arsenal midfielder Edu Gaspar.
Edu enjoyed a successful playing career with Brazil and clubs such as Corinthians and Valencia before moving into football management roles.
He currently works as Global Head of Football at Nottingham Forest after taking the position last July.
It remains unclear how long Luiz and Gaspar have been dating or whether they first met during the midfielder’s recent spell in England.
Douglas Luiz left Aston Villa in the summer of 2024 when he joined Juventus. He later spent time back in England during a loan spell with Nottingham Forest before returning to Italy.
However, in January, the 27-year-old secured a loan move to his former club, Aston Villa, for the remainder of the current season.
Meanwhile, Luiz’s former partner Alisha Lehmann has also moved on, as she is dating semi-professional footballer and Love Island personality Montel McKenzie.
Lehmann and Luiz had previously made headlines when they both moved from Aston Villa to Juventus in 2024.
They became the first high-profile couple to complete transfers to the same club at the same time. Now both players appear to have started new chapters away from that relationship.
