Manchester United are going through a turbulent phase in their history. It has been over a decade since they have won the Premier League last time.
In between that phase, many managers have come and gone. Also, the Red Devils have signed so many high-profile players.
They are one of the biggest spenders in European football over the last decade. Still, the results are not there on the pitch.
Their current manager, Ruben Amorim, is trying to turn things around at Old Trafford. The Red Devils are having a topsy-turvy season so far.
After their last victory against Wolverhampton Wanderers, they have reached sixth place in the Premier League table. And, Amorim will be hoping that United could get him a midfielder in January.
Now, a former Manchester United midfielder has created headlines but not for footballing reasons. The player has purchased a new camel racing team in Saudi Arabia.
Paul Pogba purchased a stake in Al Haboob. He revealed this on his Instagram account. The French World Cup winner also explained the love he has for camel racing.
Poga did an interview with the BBC where he explained his decision. He said:
“I’ve watched my fair share of [camel] races on YouTube and spent time doing research in my spare time trying to understand the techniques and strategies.
“And what stood out to me is how much dedication it takes from everyone involved. At the end of the day, sport is sport. It demands heart, sacrifice and teamwork.”
Manchester United re-signed Paul Pogba in 2016 for £89 million from Juventus. Currently, the 32-year-old is playing football in the Ligue 1 for AS Monaco.
