Gabriel Jesus reacts angrily to Manchester City fan chants

City’s win moved them within three points of Arsenal in the title race, with a game still in hand.

Gabriel Jesus found himself at the centre of an emotional moment during Arsenal’s defeat at the Etihad Stadium.

The forward did not feature in the 2-1 loss to Manchester City. However, the real flashpoint came off the pitch. As the second half unfolded, tensions began to rise near the touchline.

Jesus warmed up alongside his teammates when a section of the crowd turned their attention towards him. The reaction quickly became hostile.

A fan directed chants at the Brazilian, repeatedly calling him “Judas” after his move away from City. That is when things escalated.

Jesus walked towards the supporter, pointed at himself and responded firmly:

“I have won 11 titles here!”

It was a reminder of his time at City. The Brazilian joined from Palmeiras in 2017 and became a key part of the squad under Pep Guardiola.

During his spell, he scored 95 goals in 236 appearances and helped the club win multiple trophies.

Those honours included four Premier League titles, an FA Cup and four League Cups, along with two Community Shields.

However, his journey has looked very different since leaving. Since his move to Arsenal, success has been harder to find. Despite coming close, he has yet to win silverware with the club.

His role has also changed this season. After returning from a serious knee injury in November, Jesus has struggled for regular starts.

The Brazilian has featured sparingly in the Premier League and has slipped down the pecking order.

Meanwhile, the result itself carried major consequences. City’s win moved them within three points of Arsenal in the title race, with a game still in hand.
