England fans are already dreaming of lifting the coveted FIFA World Cup next year. And the way they are performing during the qualifiers will make the belief of the English fans stronger.

Last night, the Three Lions were triumphant against Serbia by 2-0. Bukayo Saka and Eberechi Eze, two Arsenal players, gave England the victory in the World Cup Qualifier.

Now, Thomas Tuchel’s men will face Albania in their next game this Sunday, which will be their final game of the qualifier.

The German boss and his team will be looking to end their qualifying campaign with another win. Also, they will win all their games in the qualifying round if they manage to get over the line.

Now, not everything seems happy for the English management team. One England coach recently revealed the devastating loss of his wife.

The journey of a coach in English football often looks smooth from the outside.

Yet, away from the touchline, Justin Cochrane has been carrying a weight far heavier than most could ever imagine.

At first, everything in his life appeared steady. Work continued at the club level, and his family routine moved along as usual.

However, during an interview with Sky Sports News (via YouTube), Cochrane decided to speak about the loss of his wife, Leeanne.

She died in November 2024 at just 40 years old. She had been treated at the Royal Marsden, a specialist cancer hospital in London. Cochrane said:

“Going from everything going smoothly and sailing to being a solo parent and organising everything around my family.

Deal with the shock while maintaining my work, it is difficult to put into words what I have experienced this last year.”

According to Cochrane, the final months were extremely tough to witness. He said:

“She was treated at the Royal Marsden Hospital. Leeanne, although she did not have many symptoms of illness after ten months, she was no longer here.”

At the same time, he praised the support he received from Brentford players and staff. He highlighted captain Christian Norgaard as “incredible throughout”.

Cochrane continues to find strength for his three sons, carrying both grief and hope as he moves forward.
