Bruno Fernandes is arguably the best player Manchester United have signed after Sir Alex Ferguson left the club.
Since he joined the club in 2020 from Sporting CP, he has brought a winning mentality to the club. So, it was no surprise when Erik ten Hag handed the captain’s armband to him from Harry Maguire.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer signed him for United. Since his first game, the Portuguese international has shown why Manchester United paid €55 million for him.
In 2024, they even extended his contract till 2027 with an option to extend his deal for a further year. They did that because they wanted to raise his salary.
So far, he has played over 300 games for the Red Devils. Fernandes became only the third player in the history of Manchester United to register over 100 goals and 100 assists in all competitions.
He also became the second-fastest to do so behind Wayne Rooney. Only the other player to achieve this was Ryan Giggs. Now, there were talks about him leaving the club next summer.
Many Saudi Arabian clubs were showing interest in him last summer. They were ready to pay a record fee for the Portuguese. However, he decided to stay at the club, reportedly, for one more season.
Without any doubt, Bruno Fernandes has been the best player for United this season. That is why the club are now looking to reward him for his amazing performances this season.
According to The Mirror, Manchester United are ready to hand Bruno Fernandes a mega new deal worth £400,000 per week.
The Red Devils know that Saudi Arabian clubs will come for him next summer. So, they are looking to fend off the Saudi interest with this new deal.
Also, Bruno Fernandes will now make a decision on his future at Manchester United, and that decision will be taken based on United’s next manager and their Champions League qualification.
