One of the most intriguing clubs heading into next season are Tottenham Hotspur.

With Ange out and Thomas Frank in, and Spurs finally not trophyless anymore, there is much anticipation for 25/26.

Many fans are excited at which players will develop most under Frank.

At Brentford, we saw several players become stars under the Dane’s guidance.

Several players either underperformed and/or were often injured under Ange last season.

That said, one player who did impress was Djed Spence.

Despite playing at left-back, the former Nottingham Forest man got his chance in the XI and took it well.

He was seen as one of the bright sparks in a very poor domestic season.

Well, according to reliable Spurs ITK insider Paul O Keefe, Spence is set to be rewarded for his 24/25 campaign.

As per O Keefe, the player is in talks over a new and improved contract in North London.

With Destiny Udogie beginning to become quite injury prone, Spence may get quite a few opportunities next season.

And with Spurs now playing in the Champions League, there will be a lot of games to go around.

This could be a massive season for the full-back.

England are struggling for options at left-back. If he has a big season, he could have a shot at being picked for the World Cup.

After two years of complete – at best – stagnation having joined Spurs, the last 12 months have been some journey for Spence.

There is no doubt that this contract is well deserved and shows what happens if you keep persisting through adversity.
