Arsenal are continuing to reshape their squad after a memorable 2025–26 campaign under Mikel Arteta.
The Gunners ended their 22-year wait for the Premier League title after holding off Manchester City during the closing stages.
They also reached the Champions League final, although Paris Saint-Germain denied them another major trophy after a penalty shootout.
Their success has not stopped Arsenal from strengthening this summer. Andrea Berta and Arteta have already overseen several significant additions ahead of their title defence.
Bruno Guimaraes represents the biggest arrival after completing a £75 million move from Newcastle United.
Christos Tzolis joined from Club Brugge for £34 million, while Piero Hincapie and Illan Meslier have also strengthened the squad.
However, Arsenal are simultaneously looking towards the future by attempting to add promising young players to their development ranks.
According to Now Arsenal, the Gunners have had two approaches rejected by Wolverhampton Wanderers for Makenzie Bradbury.
The 19-year-old midfielder is a Wales youth international and has emerged as a target to strengthen Arsenal’s Under-21 squad.
Bradbury signed a professional contract with Wolves last year, meaning Arsenal would need to agree a transfer fee rather than secure him through a compensation agreement.
Wolves have resisted both approaches so far, although Arsenal reportedly hope club-to-club discussions can resume. It remains unclear whether the Gunners will return with a third attempt.
Meanwhile, Arsenal’s senior squad have endured mixed results during pre-season.
They followed victories over MK Dons and Girona with consecutive defeats against Real Betis and Borussia Dortmund.
Arteta’s side still have one friendly remaining against Como before their competitive schedule begins.
The Premier League champions will then face Manchester City in the FA Community Shield as they prepare to begin their title defence.
