A new deal would keep their star player away from transfer speculations.

Arsenal made headlines in the summer transfer window. They signed Martin Zubimendi, Viktor Gyokeres, Eberechi Eze, and Noni Madueke.

The club did not just focus on new arrivals. They also worked hard to secure the futures of key players and top talents.

Gabriel Magalhaes signed a new deal. Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri also signed fresh contracts. William Saliba agreed to a new long-term contract as well.

Now Arsenal are turning their attention to one of their biggest stars. According to The Mirror, his current deal runs until the summer of 2027.

The Gunners want to give the England international on a long-term contract. The North London club are willing to make Saka one of the highest-paid players at the Emirates.

They believe his wages should reflect his status as one of the best attackers in the Premier League. Talks have already taken place with his camp.

While a deal is not imminent, discussions are described as positive. Arsenal remain hopeful of reaching an agreement.

Saka continues to be a vital figure in Mikel Arteta’s squad. The winger delivered an outstanding 2024-25 season.

He scored 12 goals and provided 14 assists in 37 appearances. That form cemented his place as the team’s most dangerous attacker.

Also, this summer, Arsenal added Gyokeres, Eze, and Madueke to boost their frontline. However, Saka is still their most important weapon in attack.

The England international is the player Arteta trusts to make the difference in decisive moments. But, injury has delayed his start to the current campaign.

But now that Saka has returned to action, he is expected to play a key role in Arsenal’s push for trophies this season.

Furthermore, there is no immediate danger of Saka leaving North London. So, a new deal would secure their star player and keep him away from transfer speculation.
