Arsenal are heading into the new season with massive confidence after finally ending their 22-year wait for a Premier League title.
Mikel Arteta guided the Gunners to their 14th English league crown after the club finished the campaign with 85 points.
Arsenal secured the title with one game remaining after Manchester City dropped points against Bournemouth.
The Gunners conceded only 27 goals in 38 league matches, the best defensive record in the division.
David Raya played a huge role after keeping 19 clean sheets to secure a third consecutive Golden Glove award.
Meanwhile, Declan Rice established himself as one of the most influential midfielders in the Premier League. Viktor Gyökeres also impressed after finishing as Arsenal’s top league scorer with 14 goals.
Although Arsenal narrowly lost the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain on penalties, the campaign still represented a huge step forward for the club under Arteta.
Now, Arsenal are already planning for the future as they continue investing heavily in young talents from across Europe and England.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal are now pushing to advance a deal for Leicester City youngster Jeremy Monga.
Monga made 30 first-team appearances for Leicester this term despite still being only 16 years old. He scored once and also registered two assists during the campaign.
He became the third-youngest player in Premier League history behind Arsenal youngsters Ethan Nwaneri and Max Dowman.
Meanwhile, his goal against Preston North End in August made him the youngest goalscorer in Championship history.
Leicester’s relegation to League One has now increased uncertainty around several young players at the club, and Arsenal are among the teams hoping to take advantage.
