Arsenal have been chasing a striker all summer. Mikel Arteta wants someone sharp, hungry and fits his system.

The search has gone on for weeks, but now, there is real movement behind the scenes.

They have been in talks with a Bundesliga club. Negotiations started with a high price, more than €80 million. Arsenal did not walk away.

They just waited, adjusted, and slowly built toward a deal that works for both sides.

It has not been easy. The player is young, talented, and very much in demand.

His numbers speak for themselves. He has scored 39 goals in just 87 games over two seasons.

That is not something every 22-year-old can boast. Other clubs have noticed too.

Manchester United have him on their list. Manchester City are watching. Real Madrid are quietly keeping tabs.

Even Chelsea were in the mix earlier, but their focus shifted after signing Liam Delap and Joao Pedro.

Still, none of them have moved as aggressively as Arsenal.

According to CaughtOffside, the Gunners are now close to reaching a final agreement. The fee is expected to be around €75 million.

The fee is not cheap but not impossible either. It is especially for Benjamin Sesko who could solve their goal-scoring issues for years.

The RB Leipzig forward is the man Arsenal want leading the line next season.

Tall, quick, and composed in front of goal, Sesko looks ready for the Premier League.

He wants Champions League football. Arsenal can offer it. And if nothing changes, this could be the summer he makes the switch to north London.

The Benjamin Sesko to Arsenal transfer is not official yet but it feels very, very close.

Arsenal are also keeping an eye on Viktor Gyokores in case they fail to sign Sesko. No matter what, Emirates will see a new number nine, next season.
