Arsenal have already strengthened several areas of Mikel Arteta’s squad during an ambitious summer transfer window.
The Gunners signed Bruno Guimaraes for £75 million before adding Ezri Konsa, Piero Hincapie and Christos Tzolis.
Illan Meslier also arrived on a free transfer as Arsenal continued adding depth across Arteta’s squad.
Several established players have moved on, including Leandro Trossard, Jakub Kiwior and Christian Norgaard.
Gabriel Martinelli’s expected departure has now created another major issue for Arsenal ahead of the September 1 transfer deadline.
The Gunners are close to sending the Brazilian to Al-Hilal and are actively exploring replacements on the left side.
Arsenal already signed Tzolis after Trossard’s departure, but Martinelli’s exit has increased their need for another attacker.
Arteta’s side nevertheless started their Premier League title defence strongly with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Coventry City.
Kai Havertz, Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard scored as Arsenal collected three points at the Emirates Stadium.
Attention has now returned to recruitment as Arsenal consider several attacking options during the final days of the window.
According to TEAMtalk, Arsenal have made fresh enquiries about Real Madrid forward Endrick after previously discussing him earlier this summer.
The Gunners first raised Endrick’s name during talks with Real Madrid concerning Vinicius Junior and Arda Guler.
Real Madrid had considered different options for Endrick, including a possible loan, before Jose Mourinho decided he wanted him to stay.
However, concerns have since emerged within the Brazilian’s camp over how much first-team football he will receive this season.
Endrick has missed Real Madrid’s opening matches because of a tendon problem, although he could return this weekend.
The 20-year-old knows Arsenal remain an option and reportedly finds the possibility of regular football in North London attractive.
Arsenal are also exploring Marseille winger Igor Paixao and continue monitoring Lyon attacker Malick Fofana along as alternative options.
They could also revisit a possible Marcus Rashford loan, while Julian Alvarez remains a target for a central attacking role.
