Arsenal continue to reshape their squad after ending a 22-year wait for the Premier League title last season.
Mikel Arteta’s side also reached the Champions League final, although Paris Saint-Germain ended their hopes of a European crown.
Arsenal have since strengthened several areas ahead of their title defence. Bruno Guimaraes arrived from Newcastle United for £75 million.
The Gunners also signed Christos Tzolis, Piero Hincapie and Illan Meslier. Arsenal have created space through several departures.
Leandro Trossard joined Besiktas, while Jakub Kiwior completed a move to Porto. More changes could now follow in attack.
Arteta has greater depth available, leaving one experienced forward facing reduced opportunities during the new campaign.
According to CaughtOffside, Arsenal will consider offers starting at €20 million for Gabriel Jesus, with Napoli showing strong interest.
The Serie A club are actively exploring a deal and have already contacted the Brazilian’s representatives.
However, negotiations between Arsenal and Napoli have not yet reached an advanced stage. Jesus has entered the final year of his Arsenal contract.
The 29-year-old returned from a serious knee injury last season and made 27 appearances, although he started only nine matches.
His reduced role has increased the possibility of a summer departure. Jesus also views Napoli as a genuine option because he wants more regular playing time.
Napoli have tracked the forward before. They explored a move in 2023, but Jesus chose to remain in North London at that stage.
His situation has now changed considerably. Arsenal have more attacking options, while the player’s contract gives the club a limited window to secure a transfer fee.
Napoli must still decide whether to meet Arsenal’s €20 million valuation. The Italian side could attempt to negotiate a lower price because of his contract situation.
Arteta’s side will complete their preparations against Como before facing Manchester City in the Community Shield.
