Arsenal transfer update

Arsenal are bracing themselves for another eventful summer. Last summer, they did terrific business. As a result, they are reaping the rewards this season.

Although the Gunners lost the Carabao Cup final to Manchester City, they are still the favourites to win the Premier League.

Also, they are in the FA Cup quarter-final and Champions League quarter-final. So, for the Gunners, this season has been a success.

However, Mikel Arteta and Andrea Berta will only be happy if the Gunners can somehow manage to secure major trophies.

But they also know the importance of preparing the squad for the next season. That is why the Gunners have already started planning for next summer.

Now, apart from the incomings, the Gunners will be focusing on outgoings as well. There are a number of players who could leave next summer.

However, there is one first-team player who is now open to leaving Arsenal next summer. According to CaughtOffside, Riccardo Calafiori is now open to leaving the Emirates Stadium next summer.

Previously, Chelsea were showing an interest in the Italian defender. However, there is another club showing interest in Calafiori.

Serie A leaders, Inter Milan, are now seriously considering making a move for the 23-year-old. They want him to replace Alessandro Bastoni, who could leave for Barcelona in the summer.

Now, if Calafiori leaves Arsenal, then Mikel Arteta will look for a replacement. There will be a strong chance that the Gunners might go for Tino Livramento or Lewis Hall, as both are on their radar.

So, with Calafiori now open to leaving, there will be some serious calls to be taken by Mikel Arteta ahead of this crucial phase in the season, as well as in the summer.
