Arsenal have started the new season strongly after enduring a mixed preseason campaign under manager Mikel Arteta.
The Gunners lost against Real Betis and Borussia Dortmund, while also drawing with Como during their summer preparations.
However, Arsenal responded emphatically by beating Manchester City 3-0 in the FA Community Shield.
They then opened their Premier League title defence with another 3-0 victory against newly promoted Coventry City.
Meanwhile, Arsenal have invested nearly £200 million as Arteta continues strengthening an already successful squad this summer.
Bruno Guimaraes arrived from Newcastle United for £75 million, while Ezri Konsa joined from Aston Villa for £51 million.
Arsenal also signed Christos Tzolis, Piero Hincapie and Illan Meslier while several established players departed the Emirates Stadium.
However, the Gunners are still monitoring attacking options as they look to add more quality before the deadline.
According to Hooligan Soccer, Arsenal are targeting Benfica winger Gianluca Prestianni alongside Newcastle United and Aston Villa this summer.
Arsenal scouts recently returned from Portugal with positive reports after monitoring the 20-year-old during Benfica matches.
Benfica have set an opening price around £42.5 million, while his contract contains a £85 million release clause.
However, Prestianni arrives with significant controversy following an incident involving Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior in the Champions League.
Vinicius accused Prestianni of using a racial slur during a confrontation that stopped the match for around 10 minutes.
Prestianni denied making a racist remark but later admitted using a homophobic slur during the heated exchange.
UEFA subsequently handed him a six-match suspension for homophobic conduct following an investigation into discriminatory behaviour.
FIFA later extended that punishment globally, meaning the suspension also applied to international fixtures.
The incident also prompted IFAB to consider changing football’s rules regarding players covering their mouths while insulting opponents.
Despite that controversy, Arsenal continue tracking Prestianni as they assess another attacking addition before the transfer window closes.
