Manchester United are struggling to find stability since INEOS took over the footballing operations.
The Red Devils sacked Erik ten Hag to appoint Ruben Amorim. They knew that the Portuguese boss plays three at the back.

As a result, the Red Devils had to appoint Michael Carrick as the interim boss and will appoint a permanent manager in the summer.
This decision has caused outrage among the United fanbase. That is why INEOS might be compelled to sign a midfielder to appease the fans.
They are already eyeing a move for Ruben Neves. However, there is another midfielder they are looking to sign.
However, Atletico Madrid have now joined the race to sign that midfielder. According to ESPN Brazil, Diego Simeone wants to sign Joao Gomes from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The Los Colchoneros have already sanctioned Conor Gallagher’s sale to Tottenham Hotspur. That is why they are looking to bring in the Brazilian.
However, Manchester United remain an admirer of the Wolves midfielder. But they are yet to make a move for the 24-year-old.
His current deal with Wolves will expire in 2030. But the Premier League side are trying to survive in the top-flight division. Their task is extremely difficult now.
That is why many players will leave the club next summer. So, Manchester United and Atletico Madrid will be looking to sign the midfielder.
