Marcus Rashford’s future at Barcelona is unresolved.
And his future at Manchester United looks increasingly untenable.
Yet, a third option has arrived.
One that nobody was expecting.
Bayern Munich want him.
And they’re preparing to make a formal offer.
Bayern Munich prepare offer for Marcus Rashford as Bundesliga giants look to hijack Barcelona’s summer plans
According to Fichajes, Bayern are ready to bid approximately €25 million for Rashford, a figure that falls short of the €30 million Manchester United are seeking, but one that is considered close enough for negotiations to progress if all parties show willingness.
Crucially, initial conversations with the player’s representatives have already been positive.
Bayern see a window of opportunity.
And they’re moving quickly to exploit it.
The sporting logic is straightforward.
Vincent Kompany wants more attacking options.
His market price makes him one of the most accessible names of real quality available this summer.
For Rashford himself, the appeal of Germany is clear.
A fresh start.
And a manager who builds systems around exactly the kind of explosive, space-attacking profile he represents at his very best.
Barcelona retain their option to sign him permanently for £26 million following his loan.
But the Catalan club are not rushing.
Their financial situation remains complex and there are other positions demanding investment.
That hesitation is precisely what has given Bayern Munich the opening they needed.
The wage bill, the uncertainty and the desire for a clean break all point in one direction.
A sale that works for the club, frees up salary, generates income and gives Rashford the clean slate his career currently demands.
Whether €25 million is enough to close that gap with United’s €30 million valuation may come down to structure, add-ons and urgency.
But Bayern have made their intentions clear.
They want him.
They’re preparing the offer.
And suddenly, the race for Marcus Rashford has three different clubs angling for a resolution.
