Chelsea started their 2025/26 Premier League campaign with a disappointing goalless draw against Crystal Palace.
However, this week, they turned things around with a thumping 5-1 win against West Ham United, even after going behind.
Now, with the transfer window still open, Enzo Maresca will be looking to part ways with some of his players.
The Italian manager is ruthless when it comes to getting rid of the players who are not in his plans.
That is why the World champions are looking to sell one of their outcasts under Enzo Maresca.
Since Maresca took over the job at Chelsea, he has made sure that the Blues go in a different direction. That is why he was quick to loan out Raheem Sterling, as he wanted fresh blood in the squad.
Last season, Sterling played 28 games for Arsenal, where he managed to score only one goal.
This performance was not good enough for the Gunners, and that is why they didn’t make the move permanent.
Sterling won 4 Premier League titles with Manchester City before joining Chelsea in 2022. For Chelsea, he played 81 times and scored 19 goals.
However, Sterling has no place in Enzo Maresca’s squad. That is why they are looking to part ways with the forward.
According to Nicolo Schira, Turkish club Besiktas have opened talks to sign Raheem Sterling from Chelsea.
Maresca wants to find a solution for Sterling as soon as possible. With the Turkish club showing interest in Sterling, it will be interesting to see what the player decides.
Also, Napoli, Bayer Leverkusen, and Juventus showed interest in the player initially in the transfer window.
With not much time left before the transfer window shuts, Chelsea will be looking to get this deal over the line as they want to focus on signing Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United.
