Manchester United were bracing for offers for some of their wantaway stars. The Red Devils thought that they could have a substantial transfer budget by getting rid of those players.
After losing out on European football last season with a crushing defeat in the hands of Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League final, Manchester United needed to sell those players.
Ruben Amorim also termed those players as the bomb squad. And apart from Marcus Rashford, who left on a loan deal to Barcelona, none of those players from the bomb squad left the club.
As a result, Manchester United are scrambling now to get rid of Jadon Sancho, Antony, and Alejandro Garnacho. Also, Amorim hinted that he will integrate these players if they stay.
Both Sancho and Antony are blocking big-money moves from Saudi Arabia as they are waiting for the right offer to come. But for Garnacho, his next destination is clear in his mind.
The Argentine wants to play for Chelsea and is looking forward to playing in the Champions League. He has already agreed on personal terms with the Blues.
Garnacho even rejected a proposal from Bayern Munich as he only wants the Chelsea move.
As Fabrizio Romano reported, Chelsea and Manchester United are negotiating a fee for the move.
Fichajes has revealed the offer Chelsea have made to Manchester United, and the figures are quite shocking.
Chelsea want to pay around £25 million for Garnacho, as per reports. Manchester United are not ready to accept that amount.
Negotiations between the two clubs are continuing smoothly as United eye a fee of around £50 million, and both clubs are looking for a positive outcome from the negotiations.
