Some transfers are decided by agents.
Others are decided by managers.
This one could involve a teammate.
And perhaps Arsenal’s most important player.
Declan Rice set to convince Morgan Rogers to join Arsenal in shock move
According to Mirror, Arsenal are hopeful that Rice can help convince Rogers to make the move to north London.
The pair are currently together on England duty, which gives Arsenal an obvious advantage.
Rice knows exactly what life at Arsenal is like.
And he also understands what Mikel Arteta wants from his players.
That could prove important.
Especially as interest in Rogers continues to grow
His versatility is particularly appealing, and very few players offer that level of flexibility.
And it is exactly the type of profile Arteta values.
Rice is not the only England international involved.
Bukayo Saka and Eberechi Eze are also reportedly spending time with Rogers during the international camp.
All three players already know what Arsenal can offer.
And all three could help sell the project.
For Arsenal, the attraction is obvious.
However, his performances have also attracted interest from several other clubs across Europe.
That means Arsenal may need every advantage they can get.
Declan Rice could provide exactly that.
The midfielder has become one of the most influential figures at the club since arriving from West Ham.
And his relationship with England teammates make him an important figure behind the scenes.
For Aston Villa, the situation remains straightforward.
They don’t want to sell, and Rogers is regarded as one of their most important players.
Also, any deal would likely require a huge fee.
But Arsenal remain interested.
Rice is trying to help.
And the England camp may become just as important as the negotiating table.
Sometimes managers convince players.
Sometimes clubs do.
And sometimes all it takes is a teammate to make all the difference.
