An interview with Bruno Fernandes came out recently. And that interview has become the talking point in the footballing world.
There were multiple reports linking Bruno Fernandes with a move away from Manchester United.
Also, most of those reports mentioned that Ruben Amorim wanted Fernandes to stay at United.
Amorim understands the importance of his compatriot at the club. However, there were reports that the Red Devils were ready to accept a huge bid from a Saudi Arabian club.
They left the decision to the club captain. If Fernandes wanted to leave, then United would have proceeded to get the deal over the line.
However, the Manchester United captain decided to stay at the club. Yet, he was left hurt as he expressed during his interview to Canal 11 (via BBC Sport):
“From the club I felt it was, ‘If you go it’s not so bad for us’. It hurts me a bit. I’m a player that no-one can criticise, I’m always available, I always give my best.”
Now, it seems the future of the Portuguese international is up in the air next summer, and a European giant is ready to take the opportunity.
According to Fichajes, Bayern Munich are ready to test Manchester United’s resolve for Bruno Fernandes.
The German giants are ready to place of bid worth €50 million to see whether United would accept.
However, with the way things are going for United this season, it is unlikely Ruben Amorim would let him go unless he has the right replacement in place.
Bruno Fernandes has a contract with Manchester United until 2027 with an option for an additional year.
