Manchester United have experienced a difficult start to the new season after an inconsistent summer under Michael Carrick.
The Red Devils suffered a 2-0 defeat against newly-promoted Hull City in their opening Premier League fixture.
United dominated possession during that game but struggled to create enough danger in the final third.
Before that, their preseason ended with a 4-2 defeat against AC Milan after several mixed results across Europe.
The club have also been extremely active in the transfer market while reshaping Carrick’s squad this summer.
They strengthened midfield heavily by signing Andrey Santos, Youri Tielemans and Carlos Baleba for significant transfer fees.
At the same time, several players have left Old Trafford, while others are still facing uncertain futures.
United are now open to allowing another attacking option to leave before the summer transfer window closes.
According to De Telegraaf, Feyenoord are interested in signing Manchester United striker Chido Obi on loan this summer.
Talks between the two clubs are already underway as Feyenoord explore the possibility of completing a loan move.
Obi is currently not considered to be in contention for a first-team place at Manchester United.
Therefore, Carrick and the club are prepared to allow him to leave if he gets a better chance of playing elsewhere.
The 18-year-old is currently valued at €5 million, although Feyenoord have no interest in signing him permanently.
There is also no indication yet whether an option to buy could be included in the proposed loan agreement.
If the move happens, Obi could get the increased playing opportunities Manchester United want him to receive this season.
