After signing for Manchester United from Borussia Dortmund, Jadon Sancho expected his career to reach the next level.
Manchester United paid a massive £73 million to sign the English winger. But, from the beginning, he failed to live up to his expectations.
The Red Devils are paying him £250,000 per week. So, Sancho was a big money transfer, and it didn’t work like so many other such signings from Manchester United.
From the beginning, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the man who signed Sancho, started doubting his ability. That is why in most games, he had to sit on the bench.
The same thing happened when Erik ten Hag took charge of Manchester United. Sancho was not getting game time.
The tipping point of Jadon Sancho’s Manchester United career came when he fell out with Ten Hag. From that time, Jadon Sancho’s exit from United was just a matter of time.
However, no club was ready to take a man with such a high wage without the performance to show for it.
In came Borussia Dortmund, and he returned to Germany. During that loan spell, Sancho even played in the Champions League final, which he lost to Real Madrid.
After that, his next loan spell was with Chelsea, where he won the UEFA Conference League.
But the Blues are not ready to make his loan deal permanent and paid compensation to United for that.
Now, Jadon Sancho is back at Manchester United seeking a permanent deal. Juventus were close to sealing a deal, but they need to sell some of their players to balance the books.
That is why the Jadon Sancho to Juventus deal has stalled for the time being.
According to Ben Jacobs, Borussia Dortmund has once again entered the fray as they are exploring a move for Jadon Sancho.
This time, they are looking to bring him back permanently. Manchester United have reduced their asking price from £25 million to £17 million.
The next few weeks will be crucial to understand whether Dortmund will make a concrete offer for Sancho or not.
Dortmund currently debating whether to make an approach for Jadon Sancho. Manchester United prepared to sell for £17m (€20m). Price has now dropped lower than Chelsea’s £25m obligation to buy. Juventus are still in talks with Sancho as well.🏴
