HandofArsenal delivers Morgan Rogers to Arsenal update

Rogers has emerged as Arsenal’s priority attacking target this summer.

Morgan Rogers enjoyed the best season of his career during the 2025-26 campaign. He established himself as one of the Premier League’s most exciting attacking players.

The Aston Villa forward scored 14 goals and supplied 11 assists in 55 appearances across all competitions.

He also played a leading role in the club’s fourth-place finish and Europa League triumph.

The 23-year-old also carried that form onto the international stage with England at the 2026 World Cup. However, Thomas Tuchel mainly used him from the bench.

Still, Rogers delivered one of his biggest moments in the semi-final against Argentina when he provided the assist for Anthony Gordon’s opening goal.

His performances have naturally attracted interest from several of Europe’s biggest clubs.

According to HandofArsenal, Arsenal and Aston Villa are now engaged in club-to-club talks over a potential deal for Rogers.

Senior figures from both clubs are reportedly in direct contact as discussions continue over a move to the Emirates Stadium.

The report adds that personal terms are not expected to present any problems if the two clubs can reach an agreement on a transfer fee.

Rogers has emerged as Arsenal‘s priority attacking target this summer following Leandro Trossard’s departure to Besiktas.

However, Aston Villa remain in a strong negotiating position after tying the England international down to a contract until 2031.

As a result, Villa are expected to demand a fee comfortably above the £100m mark before considering a sale.

The Gunners also continue to pursue Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes.

However, Rogers remains the headline target as Arteta looks to add another elite attacking option ahead of the new campaign.
