Manchester United didn’t start the new Premier League season the way Ruben Amorim wanted. Also, in the transfer market, they only signed four players.

Yet, Amorim declared that a storm would come, and nothing such has happened yet. Now, the last week of the transfer window is here.

The Red Devils have failed to clear their house. In fact, only one player of the famous bomb squad of Ruben Amorim has left the club so far.

This lack of departures has also ruined United’s plans for the transfer window. Signing only Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, Diego Leon, and Benjamin Sesko will not turn their fortune around.

Especially, at a time when United had their worst ever season in the Premier League era, they needed to act fast and clear their house quickly.

It is not that Manchester United players didn’t receive offers from other clubs. But most of those players rejected those offers.

Alejandro Garnacho had an offer from Al-Nassr. But the Argentine wants to join Chelsea. The situation was also the same for Antony.

The Brazilian is adamant about rejoining Real Betis this summer. He also received an offer from the same Saudi club, but he rejected the offer to join Betis.

However, Manchester United want to sell Antony permanently. But Real Betis are struggling to pay the money United want for Antony.

Now, according to Fabrizio Romano, Real Betis are confident about getting the Antony deal over the line in the final few days of the transfer window.

Betis have held face-to-face talks with both United and Antony. They are offering a loan deal and are pressing to get this deal done.

The Spanish club is expecting the green light for the transfer sooner rather than later.
