Liverpool join race with Manchester United to sign France international

A fee between €45M and €50M may be enough to start discussions.

Liverpool are preparing for an important summer as they reshape their squad ahead of the new season.

The Reds continue to assess several areas of the team following changes within the squad. Midfield could become a priority in the coming months.

Curtis Jones faces uncertainty as he enters the final year of his contract. Inter Milan are showing serious interest to sign him.

Meanwhile, Alexis Mac Allister has also attracted transfer speculation. Liverpool are therefore exploring possible replacements and additions.

Adam Wharton and Alex Scott have both received links with a move to Anfield. However, another midfielder has now emerged as a target.

According to TuttoJuve, Liverpool are interested in Juventus midfielder Khephren Thuram. The report claims the Reds have entered the race for the France international.

Liverpool may face strong competition, though. Manchester United are also monitoring the 25-year-old ahead of the summer window.

Thuram has become an important player for Juventus since arriving from OGC Nice in 2024. He has made almost 100 appearances for the Italian club during that period.

His performances have helped establish him as one of the most reliable midfielders in Serie A. Juventus could consider offers if the right proposal arrives.

Reports suggest a fee between €45M and €50M may be enough to start discussions. That valuation could attract interest from several Premier League clubs.

The Reds also continue pursuing other targets. Bradley Barcola remains one player linked with a move to Merseyside.

Even so, strengthening the midfield could become increasingly important if departures materialise. Whether Liverpool decide to push forward remains unclear.

For now, they appear firmly in the race alongside Manchester United for the Juventus midfielder.
