Manchester United continue pushing ahead with plans to strengthen both their squad this summer. The Red Devils have already reached a full agreement with Atalanta for midfielder Ederson.
However, the Brazilian is unlikely to be the final arrival at Old Trafford. Michael Carrick wants further additions as United prepare for a return to Champions League football.
The club could still sign more midfielders, particularly because Casemiro has left the club and Manuel Ugarte could also leave during the transfer window.
United also continue assessing options at left-back and in attacking positions. Meanwhile, recruitment staff remain focused on securing some of the best young talents available.
Recent years have seen the club invest heavily in youth prospects such as Chido Obi, Ayden Heaven, Sekou Kone and Diego Leon.
Now, Manchester United have reportedly turned their attention towards Liverpool‘s academy. According to Secret Scout, United are exploring a move for highly-rated winger Isaac Konde.
The 16-year-old has emerged as a key target as the club searches for future attacking talent. Reports suggest contact has already taken place between United and the player’s representatives.
The club now hopes to convince the youngster to make the switch to Old Trafford. Konde may not be the only Liverpool academy player on United’s radar.
The same report claims United are also monitoring striker Vincent Joseph. The forward currently plays alongside Konde in Liverpool’s youth setup.
Now, several young attackers already sit close to Carrick’s senior squad. Shea Lacey continues attracting attention after making progress with the first team.
Meanwhile, Bendito Mantato, Chido Obi and JJ Gabriel remain highly regarded within the club.
French forward Enzo Kana-Biyik also joined United last year before spending the season on loan with Lausanne-Sport.
