Manchester United are once again looking at ways to strengthen their midfield. After parting ways with Ruben Amorim, the Red Devils have been reassessing their options in the middle of the park.

Now, January reinforcements remain firmly on the agenda of the Red Devils. They have been tracking Ruben Neves and Joao Gomes for a move in the next few days.

Also, moves for players like Carlos Baleba, Elliot Anderson, and Adam Wharton will only be possible in the summer.

So, it is clear that United want a midfielder who has the experience of playing in the Premier League. Now, a familiar name has entered the conversation.

According to journalist Alan Myers, Manchester United have opened discussions to sign Wilfried Ndidi from Besiktas, just six months after his departure from Leicester City.

Also, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed the report that United are eyeing a move for the ex-Leicester City star.

The 29-year-old spent nearly a decade in the Premier League and made 220 top-flight appearances for Leicester.

He left Leicester last summer following the club’s second relegation in three seasons, choosing a fresh challenge in Turkey.

However, even at the time, there was a strong belief that Ndidi viewed his move as temporary. Meanwhile, Manchester United can offer him a return to the Premier League.

Besiktas are aware of United’s interest. While no formal bid has been submitted yet, the midfielder is understood to be open to the move, driven by a clear desire to return to English football.

Whether a deal can be done in January will depend on Besiktas’ willingness to part with a key player mid-season. But United’s interest is real.
