Manchester United identify €55m Marcus Rashford replacement

Barcelona now want to trigger the buyout clause because they have seen the potential in Rashford.

Marcus Rashford

Marcus Rashford was supposed to be the face of Manchester United. He was their main player until Ruben Amorim came to the club, and everything went south.

After falling out with their former Portuguese manager, Rashford decided to leave Manchester United and join Barcelona on loan last summer.

His loan deal had a buyout clause, which Barcelona now want to trigger because they have seen the potential in Rashford. This season, in 37 games, he has already made 23 goal contributions.

So, Hansi Flick wants to keep the England international. Now, they are in discussions with Manchester United for the final structure of the deal.

Now, the Red Devils are looking for a replacement for Rashford. And the reason for that is Ruben Amorim is no longer their manager.

And Michael Carrick likes to deploy wingers. Also, United are unlikely to appoint a manager who will play back five again.

So, they have set their sights on a winger from the Serie A club Como. According to Ekrem Konur, Manchester United are eyeing a move for Jesus Rodriguez.

They want the Spaniard to be the replacement for Marcus Rashford. The 20-year-old joined Como from Real Betis last summer.

So far this season, he has played 32 games for Cesc Fabregas’ side in all competitions and scored 4 goals and assisted 10 times.

Como signed him for €28 million. But they are now asking for at least €55 million. Manchester United will have competition from Arsenal and Manchester City for his signature.

So, the Red Devils must act quickly if they are certain that Jesus Rodriguez could be the ideal replacement for Marcus Rashford.
