Manchester United are having a tough time in the transfer market this summer. However, the reason for their struggle is obvious: no European football at Old Trafford.

Many of their targets have rejected them, and they didn’t have a backup plan to go ahead and sign alternatives.

However, they still managed to sign the likes of Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, and Benjamin Sesko, even though the Red Devils cannot offer European football.

After signing Sesko, Manchester United are looking to move Rasmus Hojlund on. The reason is that Sesko is a young striker, and so is Hojlund.

Manchester United are looking to sign an experienced striker who can guide their younger striker Sesko and Chido Obi, and help them get better.

After signing Sesko, Manchester United don’t have the money to sign Ollie Watkins. However, Ruben Amorim has a different plan when it comes to signing an experienced striker for the Red Devils.

The Portuguese boss is ready to wait till next year to sign a target that Manchester United wanted to sign for a long time.

Harry Kane has been a dream target for Manchester United, and before moving to Bayern Munich, he was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford.

Now, according to Football Insider, Manchester United could reignite their interest in signing Harry Kane as his £56M release clause will become active in 2026.

Also, there are reports about Harry Kane moving back to Tottenham Hotspur once his Bayern Munich contract expires in 2027.

There is no doubt that Manchester United are planning ahead, and if they can sign Harry Kane, it would be one of the headline signings of the summer transfer window in 2026.
