Manchester United have now taken a firm stance on Bruno Fernandes, moving quickly to remove any doubts surrounding his future at the club.

At that time, only intervention from then-head coach Ruben Amorim convinced Fernandes to stay. However, things have now changed significantly.
According to Samuel Luckhurst, Manchester United have informed Bruno Fernandes that they do not want him to leave under any circumstances.
The club have made it clear that he remains central to their long-term plans. That decision comes after Fernandes publicly admitted his disappointment over the earlier situation.
During an interview in December, he revealed he felt ‘hurt’ by the club’s willingness to consider selling him.
United’s hierarchy have since acted to address that concern. They have reassured the midfielder that he will play a key role in building a successful side moving forward.
Interestingly, the mid-season uncertainty may have had an unexpected impact. Sources within the club believe it has contributed to Fernandes’ outstanding performances in recent months.
The 31-year-old has been in excellent form and is now a strong contender for the PFA Player of the Year award.
Meanwhile, his contract situation also remains important. Fernandes has a release clause worth €65 million, which overseas clubs could trigger.
Despite that, the Portugal international has expressed his happiness at the club. Manchester United also believe that securing Champions League football will further strengthen his commitment.
The team currently sit third in the Premier League, with the top five set to qualify for the competition.
Fernandes remains under contract until next year, although the club hold an option to extend his deal by an additional year.
