Manchester United will be looking to sign a winger next summer. As Marcus Rashford prepares to leave Old Trafford for good, the Red Devils are looking to sign his replacement.
They already have the likes of Bryan Mbeumo, Amad Diallo, and Matheus Cunha in that position. However, they want to find a young winger to replace Rashford.
So, the Red Devils have stepped up their plans for the future by entering the race to sign one of Brazil’s most exciting young talents.
The club are preparing a move for Eduardo Conceicao, a 16-year-old winger currently at Palmeiras.
According to the Daily Mail, United are ready to submit a bid worth £34 million in an attempt to secure his signature. Several top European clubs have already positioned themselves in the race.
Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona, Chelsea and Manchester City have all been linked with the highly rated attacker. However, Manchester United now appear determined to move ahead of their rivals.
Palmeiras are reportedly holding firm on their £34 million asking price. United believe that figure could be enough to close the deal.
Conceicao has already started to build his reputation on the international stage. He featured for Brazil at the South American Under-17 Championship in Paraguay, wearing the No 10 shirt.
He scored two goals and provided two assists in five matches as Brazil finished third in the competition. Meanwhile, interest continues to grow across Europe.
According to Sport, Barcelona sporting director Deco has already made contact with Palmeiras’ youth coordinator Joao Paulo Sampaio and held talks with the player’s camp.
Manchester City have also made an early move, submitting an initial bid and discussing a deal that could see him join Girona on loan.
Despite that competition, Manchester United remain fully focused on winning the race for Eduardo Conceicao.
