Manchester United started their Premier League campaign with a disappointing loss against Arsenal at Old Trafford.
And, they followed it up with another heartbreaking draw against Fulham at Craven Cottage. The highlight of that game has to be the penalty miss from Bruno Fernandes.
In both those games, one thing is clear: Bruno Fernandes is not suitable for the No.8 role that Ruben Amorim is making him play.
Also, Casemiro doesn’t have the legs to play for a full 90 minutes in a Premier League game. And, Manuel Ugarte is still struggling to adapt to the Premier League.
However, there is a midfielder waiting on the bench who can be the game-changer for Manchester United, but has been left only as a bench warmer.
Now, that frustrated midfielder is considering his options. Throughout the summer transfer window, he was set to stay at the club.
Yet, in the last week of the transfer window, reports are emerging that he might look to leave the club due to the lack of game time.
According to talkSPORT, Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo is frustrated because of the lack of game time and is looking for a move away from the club.
In the last game against Fulham, when Manchester United’s midfield was in disarray and Bruno Fernandes was performing poorly, fans and pundits were expecting Mainoo to come on.
However, Amorim kept Bruno on, and as a result, the Red Devils’ attack looked blunt. Kobbie Mainoo is also left bemused by the lack of trust in him.
Now, he is considering his option and is open to any offers that might come for him. However, it will be interesting to see how many clubs place an offer for the frustrated United man.
One thing is clear: Manchester United cannot afford to lose Kobbie Mainoo, as they will not have the time to replace him.
