Manchester United have been busy this Summer with several incomings and departures.

This consists of big names, including the signing of Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha, with Marcus Rashford departing on loan to Barcelona.

The Manchester-based side are looking to move further up the table this season having finished 15th last campaign.

Ruben Amorim will be looking to keep the players that he thinks impressed him when he came to the club in November.

Well, there could be another player planning to stay at Old Trafford this summer.

The player has been a key player for United in tough times.

According to Ben Jacobs, Bruno Fernandes plans to stay at least one more year at Manchester United.

Al-Nassr made an informal approach, following on from Al-Hilal’s attempt to sign Fernandes before the World Cup.

So far, the 30-year-old has had a mixed time at Manchester United, with him being managed by a number of different managers.

However, the Portuguese man has decided to stay at Manchester United with the player holding the captain’s armband and being loved by the fans,

By letting Christian Eriksen depart, the club will have to keep hold of one of their main midfielders, who is Fernandes, for strength and depth in that position, especially if they are planning on improving this campaign.

So, with Fernandes most likely staying, the club may think about offering the player an extended contract as his current one expires in 2027.

However, just having Ugarte, Fernandes, and Casemiro in the middle of the park could be worrying, as they play with two midfielders, so they may not have enough depth for that position.

So they consider signing another Midfielder even if Fernandes plans on staying.
