Manchester United have suffered their first defeat under Michael Carrick at the hands of Newcastle United. However, they are still three points clear of the fifth-placed Liverpool.
So, the Red Devils are firmly in the race for Champions League qualification next season. If they do qualify for the elite European competition, it will be a massive boost for their transfer budget.
Manchester United are already eyeing midfielders next summer. There is no doubt that signing two midfielders at least will be their priority, with Casemiro already announcing his departure.
Also, there is a massive question mark over the future of Manuel Ugarte. This will ensure that United must find at least two midfielders next season.
So, there will be a massive overhaul as far as their midfield goes. But there is another area they need to address.
When Ruben Amorim was in charge of the Red Devils, he sold the majority of their wingers. So, Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho, and Antony left the club.
The Portuguese boss liked to play a back five. That is why those players did not suit his style of play. But with Carrick taking charge, United are once again deploying wingers.
Amorim did sign players like Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha. But they are still short of depth in the final third. That is why they will be looking to address that by signing an attacker.
According to Football Transfers, Manchester United could make a move for PSG star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
Recently, the French outlet L’Equipe reported that the Georgian international might leave PSG next summer.
That has put multiple English and European clubs on alert. Apart from United, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Liverpool are also showing interest.
So, if United do end up winning the race and sign Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, the former Napoli star will surely add depth to United’s final third.
