Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are monitoring the same striker as both clubs consider future attacking additions.
United did not add another forward during the summer transfer window. Michael Carrick’s side are continuing to assess potential options for the position.
Tottenham also want further competition in attack despite making several additions during Roberto De Zerbi’s first summer in charge.
Representatives from both Premier League clubs have now watched one potential target in Belgium.
According to TEAMtalk, Manchester United and Tottenham sent representatives to watch Club Brugge striker Nicolo Tresoldi on Tuesday.
The 22-year-old Germany Under-21 international featured against Aston Villa and scored from the penalty spot during Club Brugge’s 3-2 defeat.
United’s representatives also continued their assessment of Club Brugge left-back Joaquin Seys during the same scouting trip.
Tottenham, meanwhile, carried out further work on Tresoldi. The striker remains high on their radar as De Zerbi considers adding another forward.
Tresoldi scored 23 goals for Club Brugge last season after joining the Belgian side from Hannover.
His performances attracted interest from several clubs during the summer. Barcelona were among those to hold talks over a possible transfer.
However, Tresoldi remained with Club Brugge and continues to attract attention from Manchester United and Tottenham.
United are also facing uncertainty over Joshua Zirkzee’s future after the Dutchman struggled to secure a regular starting place under Carrick.
The club will not allow Zirkzee to leave without first securing a replacement. Tresoldi could emerge as one option if United eventually make a change.
Tottenham’s interest comes as De Zerbi seeks greater competition and depth in attack. Richarlison was not included in their Premier League squad.
Both clubs are currently assessing the striker, with their latest scouting trip providing another opportunity to gather information before deciding whether to pursue a transfer.
