Manchester United are planning major changes in midfield next summer. With Casemiro leaving, United now must find a replacement for the Brazilian.
Also, with Manuel Ugarte seemingly unhappy at the club, the Uruguayan could also leave in the summer. So, the Red Devils now must find at least two midfielders.
Now, they have already created a long list of targets for the next summer transfer window. And the list contains some very popular names in the Premier League.
Elliot Anderson is now a target for Manchester City, too. Real Madrid are also eyeing a move for Adam Wharton.
Also, Carlos Baleba will attract interest after his performance against Chelsea last night. Meanwhile, Arsenal are admirers of Sandro Tonali.
So, there is competition for Manchester United in the market, and they have to act fast if they want to stay ahead of their competition.
Now, the French champions, Paris Saint-Germain, have joined the race to sign a Manchester United target. According to Footmercato, PSG wants to sign Mateus Fernandes.
The Parisian already have a number of Portuguese players. They already have Vitinha, Joao Neves, and Goncalo Ramos, along with Nuno Mendes, in their squad.
Thus, Fernandes will not have any problem settling in the French capital. Now, with West Ham United fighting relegation, his current focus will be on saving his club from getting relegated.
Also, he will have an eye on the 2026 FIFA World Cup as he would look to book his place in Roberto Martinez’s team.
However, after the World Cup, it is unlikely that Fernandes would continue at the London Stadium with the likes of Manchester United and PSG already eyeing moves.
