Manchester United have started planning a major overhaul ahead of the summer transfer window.

Club officials have already scheduled internal meetings this week to discuss player departures and streamline decisions, according to Samuel Luckhurst.

The Red Devils want to resolve several uncertain situations early so they can move quickly in the market. Meanwhile, they also aim to avoid complications around finances and squad balance.

Several high-profile names are now expected to be available for transfer. The club have decided to allow multiple first-team players to explore moves away as part of this reset.

Andre Onana is one of the key cases under discussion. United signed him from Inter Milan in 2023 for £47.2 million on a five-year deal.

However, the club now need £18.9 million to avoid a financial loss under the Premier League’s profitability and sustainability rules.

Onana is currently on loan at Trabzonspor, and the Turkish side have shown interest in making the deal permanent. United will push to secure a fee that meets their financial requirement.

Joshua Zirkzee also faces an uncertain future. The striker has struggled for consistency and has not started a match since December.

The Dutch international has scored just one Premier League goal in the past year and nine in 71 appearances overall.

Because of that, Manchester United could consider a loan move with an obligation to buy, similar to the arrangement used for Rasmus Hojlund at Napoli.

Manuel Ugarte is another player the club are willing to sell. United value him at around £25 million after two difficult seasons since his move from Paris Saint-Germain.

Also, Marcus Rashford’s situation also remains unresolved. Barcelona hold a £26 million option to sign him permanently, but doubts remain over whether they will proceed.

Alongside them, Altay Bayindir could join Besiktas, while Toby Collyer could also leave with his contract nearing its end.

In addition, Casemiro, Jadon Sancho, and Tyrell Malacia will leave, as United prepare for a significant squad rebuild.

Meanwhile, Transfer News Live has already revealed Manchester United’s summer recruitment plan. So, they will have a very busy summer transfer window.
