Arsenal are already planning another statement signing despite finally ending their long wait for Premier League glory.
Mikel Arteta guided the Gunners to their first league title in 22 years after several painful near misses against Manchester City in recent seasons.
However, the Arsenal manager reportedly has no intention of slowing down after finally reaching the top.
Instead, attention already shifted towards strengthening the squad again ahead of another title defence and a push for Champions League success.
The club believe adding more attacking quality could help Arsenal dominate both domestically and in Europe next season.
Now, reports suggest Arteta personally leading the pursuit of one England international following a stunning campaign in the Premier League.
According to talkSPORT, Arsenal are aggressively pushing to sign Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers.
The Arsenal manager reportedly views the versatile attacker as a major statement signing for the club’s future.
Rogers enjoyed a breakthrough season with Aston Villa and quickly established himself as one of the Premier League’s most exciting attacking players.
The 23-year-old scored 10 league goals and provided seven assists as Villa secured another Champions League qualification place.
He also impressed heavily in Europe and helped Villa win the Europa League after scoring against Freiburg in the final.
Those performances earned Rogers a place in Thomas Tuchel’s England World Cup squad ahead of several bigger names, including Cole Palmer and Phil Foden.
Villa currently value Rogers at around £80 million. But growing interest from Europe’s biggest clubs could eventually push the fee towards £100 million.
Chelsea, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are all reportedly monitoring the situation closely.
Meanwhile, Arsenal hope their Premier League triumph becomes only the beginning of a much bigger era under Mikel Arteta.
