Nottingham Forest could move for Aston Villa striker

Forest have regularly looked at strikers this summer.

Nottingham Forest are continuing to reshape their squad after a turbulent but ultimately successful 2025-26 campaign.

Forest went through several managerial changes before securing Premier League survival and reaching the Europa League semi-finals.

The club have since entered another important transfer window after selling Elliot Anderson to Manchester City for £116 million.

That deal provided Forest with significant funds to strengthen different areas of Oliver Glasner’s squad.

Ousmane Diomande arrived from Sporting CP for £34.2 million, while Forest also signed Xaver Schlager on a free transfer.

However, the club could still strengthen their attacking options before the summer window closes.

Forest have regularly looked at strikers this summer, while the futures of Arnaud Kalimuendo and Taiwo Awoniyi remain unresolved.

A potential opportunity could now emerge from another Premier League club as Aston Villa consider changes to their forward options.

According to Football Insider, Nottingham Forest could make a move for Tammy Abraham this summer.

The 28-year-old only returned to Villa in January after the club signed him from Besiktas for £18.25 million.

However, Abraham scored just three goals in 16 appearances during the second half of last season.

His situation has also become more complicated following the emergence of Brian Madjo.

The 17-year-old impressed against Paris Saint-Germain and became the youngest scorer in UEFA Super Cup history.

Madjo’s breakthrough could reduce Abraham’s opportunities at Villa Park and potentially open the door for a summer departure.

Abraham previously enjoyed a successful loan spell with Aston Villa during the 2018-19 season.

He scored 25 goals in 37 Championship appearances and helped the club win promotion to the Premier League.

However, his return has not produced the same impact so far. Forest have not made an approach for Abraham at this stage.
