Nottingham Forest remain active in the closing stages of the summer transfer window after completing several significant additions.
Oliver Glasner has received strong backing, with Forest breaking their transfer record to sign Liam Delap from Chelsea.
The striker arrived in a deal worth up to £50 million as Forest strengthened their attacking options considerably.
Daniel Munoz also joined from Crystal Palace for £22 million after previously working successfully under Glasner.
Ousmane Diomande and Xaver Schlager were among the other notable arrivals during Forest’s ambitious summer rebuild.
The club have also worked on departures, with Omari Hutchinson moving towards a loan switch to AC Milan.
Forest have faced setbacks elsewhere after Crystal Palace rejected their approach for goalkeeper Dean Henderson.
A proposed £40 million move for Everton youngster Harrison Armstrong also collapsed despite extensive discussions over a deal.
Their attention has now shifted towards adding further Premier League experience before the September 1 deadline.
According to Alex Crook, Nottingham Forest are pushing to sign Newcastle United winger Jacob Murphy before the window closes.
The 31-year-old has entered the final year of his Newcastle contract, which currently expires in June 2027.
His deal was financially improved several months ago, but the restructure did not extend its existing expiry date.
That situation leaves Newcastle facing an important decision over whether to sanction a late departure.
Murphy recorded three goals and two assists across 33 Premier League appearances during the 2025–26 campaign.
His role had increasingly shifted towards that of a rotation option after more productive previous seasons.
Newcastle could now choose to secure a transfer fee rather than risk losing him for nothing next summer.
Everton also showed firm interest earlier in the window, but Forest have emerged as the strongest late suitors.
They lost their opener against Leeds before earning a 2-2 draw away at Liverpool in their second Premier League match.
