Despite the public frustration from manager Nuno, it has been a busy summer transfer window for Nottingham Forest.

They have signed the likes of Dan Ndoye, Omari Hutchinson and Igor Jesus, amongst others.

Whilst keeping hold of star man Morgan Gibbs-White at the same time.

They are also set to sign Cuiabano from Botafogo and Dilane Bakawa from RC Strasbourg.

Now, it looks like they may not be the only signings.

As per David Ornstein, Forest are working to sign Oleksandr Zinchenko from Arsenal.

He reports that they have agreed a loan deal with Arsenal, and personal terms with the player.

A dealsheet was submitted in time.

This comes after a deal for Atletico Madrid left-back Javi Galan fell through.

So we can assume that Forest, like Arsenal, see the Ukrainian as a full-back, rather than a midfielder.

In a system like Nuno’s, which is a lot different to Arsenal’s, you may have seen him playing more in midfield.

Perhaps that will end up being the case. He certainly kills two birds with one stone thanks to his versatility.

Safe to say that, whatever happens, Forest have really given it a go this summer. A lot of ambition shown.

The only high profile departure has been Anthony Elanga to Newcastle United, and they got good money for him.

With Europa League football, they will need good squad depth – and it looks like they have that now.

Regardless of this deal going through or not.
