Manchester United are the only unbeaten Premier League side in 2026. And in their last five games in the league, they have won four and had to share points in one.
Also, they became the first team to defeat the league leaders Arsenal at the Emirates this season, which is an amazing achievement.
This turnaround in their fortune came after Michael Carrick became the interim manager. The former Manchester United midfielder is reviving their season.
Towards the end of last year, the Red Devils gave up on the season. And after sacking Ruben Amorim, it seemed they would have to stay without Champions League football next season.
However, this turnaround has brought a new hope to Old Trafford. Now, they believe they can secure a top-4 finish in the Premier League.
This revival of Manchester United has drawn attention from multiple top players. And now, they might get a huge boost in their quest to secure a top midfielder next summer.
According to Football Insider, Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali is keen on joining the Red Devils next season.
With Casemiro already leaving and Manuel Ugarte on his way out as well, signing a player like Tonali will be a massive boost for them.
However, they will face competition from Arsenal. Mikel Arteta tried to sign the Newcastle midfielder towards the end of January.
Now, the Gunners will come back again in the summer to sign him. Apart from that, his former club, AC Milan and their rival Juventus are keen to have him back in Italy.
However, with the player keen on a move to Old Trafford, Manchester United should not squander this opportunity to replace Casemiro with another world-class midfielder.
