Rafael Leao has once again sparked speculation surrounding a possible move to the Premier League after his latest interaction with Bruno Fernandes online.
The AC Milan winger continues attracting strong interest from England ahead of the summer transfer window after another productive season in Serie A.
Despite Milan finishing fifth in the league, Leao still managed to score nine goals during the campaign.
However, the disappointing season eventually led to the departure of Massimiliano Allegri during his second spell at the club.
The Portugal international has consistently attracted attention from several Premier League sides over recent transfer windows.
Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester United have all been linked with the attacker as uncertainty surrounding his future at the San Siro continues growing.
Rafael Leao has also openly admitted that he wants a new challenge away from Italy. Speaking to Portuguese media earlier this year, the winger said:
“I’m proud because I made history at AC Milan, but I want a new chapter. I feel ready to play in another league. I did my best for Milan, but it’s time to try another challenge.”
Now, the Portuguese forward has added even more fuel to the speculation. After Bruno Fernandes shared a training photo involving both players on Instagram, Rafael Leao commented:
“Lezzz goooo man”.
The reaction immediately triggered major discussion online, with many Manchester United supporters believing Fernandes could now play a role in convincing his international teammate to move to Old Trafford.
Meanwhile, reports from Calciomercato claim AC Milan have significantly reduced their valuation of the winger despite previous reports mentioning a €175 million release clause.
Milan could now accept a fee around €50-€60 million, potentially making a transfer much easier for interested clubs.
Leao still has a contract running until 2028. However, reports increasingly suggest the 26-year-old could leave Milan this summer.
