Real Madrid are looking to sign a midfielder. And that is why the Los Blancos are linked to a number of midfielders across Europe.
Florentino Perez and Xabi Alonso were once contemplating a move for Manchester City’s Rodri. However, it doesn’t look like that move will happen as City will offer a new contract to Rodri.
That is why they are looking at other targets. Xabi Alonso knows the importance of signing a good midfielder.
In the Club World Cup, against both Al-Hilal and PSG, Real Madrid got dominated in the midfield. Thus, they struggled in both these games.
That is why Xabi Alonso is looking to find midfielders who are strong and can win midfield battles.
Manchester United are also looking for a player like that. They have got Casemiro and Manuel Ugarte for that role. But Ruben Amorim wants another player.
That is why Manchester United are pushing to sign Carlos Baleba from Brighton and Hove Albion.
And, Transfer News Live has also reported previously that Real Madrid could sign Baleba if United fail to do a deal.
However, Baleba is not a target for Real Madrid this summer, and Manchester United have to find a way to sign him.
But according to Daily Mail, Real Madrid are eyeing a move for a midfielder Manchester United were linked with once.
The Los Blancos are looking for a move for the Crystal Palace midfielder, Adam Wharton. The Eagles don’t want to sell him.
However, when a player gets interest from Real Madrid, it gets difficult for the club to keep that player.
Crystal Palace will be expecting a move from Real Madrid any time soon, and with the transfer window coming to a close, movements can be expected regarding this deal.
🚨 Real Madrid are continuing to monitor the progress of Crystal Palace’s England midfielder Adam Wharton.
