Michael Olise enjoyed a remarkable season with Bayern Munich and established himself among the world’s best attacking players.
The French winger scored 15 goals and provided 19 assists in 32 Bundesliga appearances as Bayern reclaimed the league title.
He also made a major impact in Europe, adding another five goals during Bayern’s Champions League campaign.
Olise carried that form into the World Cup and became France’s primary creative force throughout the tournament.
His five assists equalled a World Cup record that had stood since 1994 as France reached the semi-finals.
Although Les Bleus eventually fell to Spain, the tournament only strengthened his growing reputation across Europe.
As a result, Bayern Munich have taken a firm stance over the future of one of their most important players.
The German champions continue to insist that the winger is not for sale and are already preparing a new contract offer.
At the same time, the Bavarians have placed a staggering valuation on the attacker as interest continues to grow.
According to Foot Mercato, Real Madrid remain determined to sign Michael Olise this summer despite Bayern Munich demanding at least €200 million for the French international.
The report states that Los Blancos are prepared to meet Bayern’s valuation in order to complete the deal. Such a move would make Olise the second most expensive signing in football history.
It would also become the biggest transfer fee ever paid by Real Madrid. The report adds that the player himself wants to join the Spanish giants following his spell in Germany.
Bayern are still hoping to secure his long-term future with a new deal running until 2031.
However, Real Madrid’s interest and the player’s desire to move to the Santiago Bernabeu have complicated that process.
Now, Real Madrid appear ready to make their biggest move yet as they chase the Bayern Munich star.
